There were an estimated 972 sales in Colorado in Q2, while IEV reported 45,000 US Model 3 deliveries. So each Colorado sale represents about 46 US Model 3 sales. There have been 58 Colorado sales this quarter. 58 x 46 = 2,668 extrapolated to the entire US. Ouch.— Dean Sheikh (@DeanSheikh1) July 21, 2019
There were 360 Model 3 deliveries reported in Q2 in the US on TMC’s order tracker.— Dean Sheikh (@DeanSheikh1) July 21, 2019
There have been only 10 reported so far this quarter.
(10 x 45,000)/360 = 1,250 for the first 3 week of July
There is some lag in data entry, so this number will be higher in a few weeks.
Spain/Norway/Netherlands registrations are down 28% versus the first 3 weeks of April.— Dean Sheikh (@DeanSheikh1) July 21, 2019
I think it’s safe to say more price cuts will be needed.$TSLAQ
